Wine & Wisdom Series

Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 6:30pm

You are cordially invited  . . .

There are two more opportunities to share a fun Saturday evening with your friends at Temple Adat Shalom. Enjoy a sampling (and a glass or two) of some fine wines from near and far, good food, great friends, all while gathering a bit of knowledge on wine and a Jewish topic with a connection to wine.

Our next gathering on March 10, 2018 will feature “Spanish Wine: How the Jews of Spain Embody the Elements of Passover.” In the United States, consumer interest in Spanish wine is high, because Spanish winemakers tend to produce great stuff and sell it at affordable prices. Kosher wine is a fledgling — but growing — segment of the Spanish wine industry, and we hope to obtain at least one kosher Spanish wine for tasting. Rabbi David will present a drash about how the Jewish community in Spain vividly embodies all three elements of Passover, freedom, redemption, and survival. Heavy appetizers and dessert will be served. Price of admission also includes a tasting of all wines presented, and a glass of your favorite wine from the tasting. Register here.

Our fourth and final session will take place June 9, 2018, so mark your calendars now! Attend one or both of the remaining sessions! Click here for more information and to register.
