Torah Holiday celebration joy song music band klezmer

The Jewish calendar gives us reason to celebrate all year long. From Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur to Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Chanukah, Purim, Passover, Shavuot, and everything in between, we LOVE getting together for holidays!

We always add our own special touch to our holiday observance, whether it's bringing our own Adat Shalom spirit to the liturgy, bringing new and different music into our worship, or incorporating things such as our Simchat Torah tradition of unrolling two Torah scrolls around the perimeter of our Marcus Sanctuary and reading directly from the end of one scroll and the beginning of another as we joyously celebrate God's gift of Torah.

Our congregation is known for our creative Purim spiels, which bring in a standing-room-only crowd to enjoy a Purim spiel that might be themed as A Beatles Purim, Fiddler Off the Roof, A Rootin' Tootin' Purim, Surfin' Purim, Oz Purim, Marx Brothers Purim, or whatever other take on the Book of Esther our talented congregants dream up.

For holiday celebrations filled with spirit, joy, and just the right amount of tradition, come celebrate at Temple Adat Shalom!
