Sisterhood

Something special happens when sisters get together, and at Temple Adat Shalom, our Sisterhood provides a place for women to come together in friendship; opportunities to make meaningful contributions to our congregation, our local community, and national and international causes that matter to us as Reform Jewish women; and a home for women's spirituality, growth, and connection. Click here to see our calendar of events for the year.

Women who want to make a difference belong in our Sisterhood. From raising funds and sponsoring programs to support our own Temple Adat Shalom Ganon Gil Early Childhood Education Center and Mosad Shalom Religious School, to supporting our local women's shelter and soup kitchen, to providing scholarships for every rabbinic student, as well as many future cantors and educators who attend HUC-JIR, to supporting religious pluralism in Israel through the World Union for Progressive Judaism, our members engage in meaningful acts of Tikkun Olam (Healing the World).

Women who want opportunities to connect, learn, socialize, and have fun belong in our Sisterhood. In addition to our monthly meetings, we offer Special Interest Groups including groups for Torah Study, Mahjong, Cooking, Theater, Dining Out, Movies, Cultural Outings, and more! Our annual Women's Seder and Sisterhood Shabbat provide opportunities to engage and participate in holiday observance and worship from a distinctly feminine point of view. Our brunches, dinners, and wine and cheese gatherings provide opportunities to simply get together and enjoy the warmth and friendship of true Sisterhood.

Membership in our Temple Adat Shalom Sisterhood is open to all women who are members of Temple Adat Shalom or any other Jewish congregation. Read our latest bi-monthly newsletter, the Happenings, by clicking here.

Support our Sisterhood by volunteering and shopping in our Gift Shop. To learn more about our Gift Shop, email Lauren at sisterhood@adatshalom.com.
