Phil Feinberg, Temple Administrator
Marilyn Milne, Director of Early Childhood Education
Phil Feinberg and his wife, Beverly, first joined Temple Adat Shalom in 1992. Both daughters, Laura and Megan, attended Ganon Gil preschool and Mosad Shalom religious school through Confirmation. Phil has a Master’s Degree in BioMedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. He has worked in Sales and Marketing for several electronics company with one San Diego company, Wavetek, moving him out to San Diego in 1985. After moving to a smaller company at the end of 1986 and helping it turn profitable, it was purchased in 1996 by a fiberoptic company for its advanced technology and cash flow.
With two young girls, Phil joined Beverly an Interior Design firm in 1998 which eventually became a multi-functional furniture showroom in the Little Italy area of downtown San Diego. Phil also teaches as an adjunct professor in the Computer Science department at Palomar College. With their older daughter Laura an RN in Sharp, both in the PCU at Sharp Memorial Hospital & Sharp Urgent Care, and their younger daughter, Megan, now a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles in advanced technical design, they moved into the downtown San Diego area to be part of an urban walking life style downtown. Phil enjoys tennis, even if he uses a two-handed backhand, and walks through the lovely downtown area with Beverly. Phil and Beverly volunteer as ushers and floor captains at the San Diego Symphony and Summer Pops when Beverly is not working as a House Manager for the SD Symphony.

Marilyn Milne has over 30 years experience in the early childhood education field, which has included both teaching and administration of child development programs. She has a BA in Child Development from California State University Northridge and worked in their Laboratory School for several semesters. Throughout the United States and Canada, she has both attended and presented workshops at numerous professional conferences. In the Los Angeles area, where she grew up, she was a field work supervisor for students from Pierce and Valley Community Colleges and California State
University, Northridge.
In San Diego, she has worked collaboratively on a number of projects with local organizations such as the Jewish Federation of San Diego, The Jewish Community Center, PJ Library, and Interfaith Community Services. In 2017, Marilyn was selected by the Union of Reform Judaism to participate in a national Community of Practice exploring innovative ways to engage families with young children, which she considers to be one of the most important components of her work at Temple Adat Shalom.
Marilyn lives in Escondido with her husband, Michael. Her hobbies include camping, gardening and hiking. For more information on the Ganon Gil Early Childhood Center, please visit our website.

Racheli Morris grew up in Israel and joined the Israel Defense Forces, becoming a teacher for soldiers with special needs. She was conferred an award of excellence for her activities from the IDF. Racheli studied education and management at Bar Ilan University, resulting in the completion of a master’s degree with a thesis.
Preceding the masters, Racheli engaged in a career as a tour guide in Europe for Israeli tour groups. In 2001, she was trained by the Jewish Agency for Israel to become a representative delegate which resulted in a position in Boston. She then moved to Orange County and worked as Jewish Studies and
Hebrew Lecturer at UCI, AJU, and CSUlB and simultaneously worked as a director of Education in formal and informal Jewish institutes.
Her journey over the last decade has been full. Racheli raised two children and completed a second master’s degree in Hebrew as a Second Language at Middlebury College in Vermont. She continues formal studies by participating in a Doctoral program for Jewish studies.
Racheli is honored and privileged to combine her love for Judaism and our traditions with her life’s work.
